Intro

The SharePoint Online Rest Certificate Auth Connector enables organizations to create and manage custom team-focused and project-focused sites for collaboration. Use Domo’s SharePoint Online Rest Certificate Auth to pull an organizations data using the intranet portal in different aspects based on their sites within Domo. This article explains the fields and menus specific to the SharePoint Online Rest Certificate Auth connector user interface. Prerequisites

To connect to your SharePoint Online Rest Certificate Auth account and create a DataSet, you must have the following:
  • Azure App Client ID
  • Azure Tenant ID
  • Encoded Certificate
  • Certificate Password

Connect to SharePoint Online Rest Certificate Auth

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes in the SharePoint Online Rest Certificate Auth Connector page. The components of the other panes in this page, Scheduling and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in great detail in Adding a DataSet Using a Connector

Credentials Pane

The SharePoint Online Rest Certificate Auth Connector uses Client Certificate Authentication. This pane contains the fields where you can enter the credentials to connect to your SharePoint Online Rest Certificate Auth account. The following table describes the field name and its description.

Azure App Client ID

Navigate to portal.azure.com > Azure Active directory > App registrations. Find and select the web app. The Application ID from the web app is the client id.

Azure Tenant ID

Sign in to Azure portal > Select Microsoft Entra ID > Select Properties > scroll to the Tenant ID field.

Encoded Certificate

Enter the value of your base64 encode pfx certificate.

Certificate Password

Enter the password for the certificate.

Once you have entered valid credentials, you can use the same account any time to create a new SharePoint Online Rest Certificate Auth DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Manage Connector/Adapter Accounts.

Gets the number of unique, licensed users who interacted with files stored on SharePoint sites.

Sharepoint Activity User Counts

Gets the trend in the number of active users.

Sharepoint Site Usage Detail

Gets the details about SharePoint site usage.

Sharepoint Site Usage File Counts

Gets the total number of files across all sites and the number of active files.

Sharepoint Site Usage Site Counts

Gets the trend of total and active site counts during the reporting period.

Sharepoint Site Usage Storage

Gets the trend of storage allocated and consumed during the reporting period.

Site Lists

Gets all the lists for the selected site.

Sites Search

Fetches the list of all sites matching the search query.

Sites Subsites

Gets a list of subsites for the selected site.

Users

Retrieves a list of user objects.

Users Drive

Retrieves the properties and relationships of a Drive resource.

How Would You Like To Select The Data? From the drop-down list, you can either select the data from the site, subsite, group sites, filtered site names, or you can enter the site id.
Site ID Select the site you want to use.
File Type Select the file type for the data file you want to retrieve. To show the file content as binary column select OTHER from the drop-down list.
Header Start Row Enter the number for the header row in the data set.
Data Start Row Enter the number for the first data row in the data set.
Footer Enter the number of rows at the end of the data set to skip. For example, to skip the last two rows you should enter 2 .
Date Format ( Optional ) Select the date format to be used when converting date columns.(For Excel files, the date format specified for the cell will have higher precedence)
Delimiter Select the desired delimiter for parsing CSV files.
Quote Character Select the desired quote character for parsing CSV files. (A double quote is the CSV standard.)
Escape Character Select the desired escape character for parsing CSV files.
Does Your JSON Text Require A Line Reader? ( Optional ) Select ‘Yes’ if your JSON text includes multiple lines that should be read.
Enter Your Header Tag ( Optional ) Enter the tag for the header in your JSON text.
Enter Your Data Tag ( Optional ) Enter the tag for the data in your JSON.
Enter Fields To Exclude ( Optional ) Provides a comma separated list of fields you want to exclude from the JSON import.
How Would You Like To Choose Your Sheet? ( Optional ) Select your sheet by providing partial or complete sheet name.
Sheet Name ( Optional ) Enter the sheet name you want to retrieve from the specified spreadsheet. Ensure to check the sheet name for accidental spaces.
Add Phonetic Words (checkbox) Select the checkbox to add phonetic words to the data.
Enter Your Data Tag ( Optional ) Enter the tag where your data resides in the XML text.
Do You Require Attributes In Data? ( Optional ) Select ‘Yes’ if you require attributes values as part of the data.
Enter Fields To Exclude ( Optional ) Provides a comma separated list of fields to exclude from the XML import.
Enter XPath Expression ( Optional ) Enter your XPath expression.
Subsite Selection Criteria Select if you want to provide a subsite ID or a subsite name to select a subsite.
Subsite ID Enter the subsite Id. You can fetch the subsite Id from the All Sites report.
Group Site ID Select the site that you want to use.
Search Query Enter the search query to obtain the sites.
Site Selection Criteria Select if you want to provide a site ID or filter the site names using a search query.
Enter Site ID Enter the site Id. You can obtain from the ’ All Sites ’ report.
Group ID Select the group you want to use.
Expand Fields Select the fields to expand.
Decode Fields (checkbox) Select the checkbox if you want to decode the fields coming from SharePoint (applies to column names only).
Display Comma Separated Array Values (checkbox) Select the checkbox if you want to display the comma separated values for arrays in the response.
User Id Select the user you want to use.
Period Value Select the period you want to search for.
