Intro

In Domo, dashboards are containers where you can place cards. Dashboards are different from both standard pages and System Pages, which are discussed below. If you have added Pages as Favories, you can jump to them quickly by clicking Favorites at the top of the Pages list and selecting the Page you want to open. Pages can be system Pages or Card Pages. System Pages have special properties (discussed in the next section) and are included by default in every Domo instance; you cannot copy, delete, or modify these. Card Pages are Pages you add yourself to your instance. These come in two types, as will be explained later. You can add, rename, reorder, and hide Pages in the Manage Pages dialog, which you access by clicking Manage Pages at the bottom of the left-hand Pages navigation list. For more information, see Managing Pages. This article provides general information about dashboards. To learn more about the following topics, follow the links below:

Dashboards and Standard Pages

When you want to create a container in which to display your cards, you can choose a dashboard or a standard page. Dashboards are the default option; they are highly customizable and can reflect branding to tell your data story in a compelling way. However, after you create a dashboard, it is possible to convert it to a standard page.

Standard Pages

Standard Pages allow you to rearrange and resize cards and create card collections, but they do not support borders and headers, background colors, or drill-in-place. These features are only available for dashboards. Follow these steps to convert a dashboard to a standard page:
  1. Close the dashboard editor and select Settings to display the Settings menu.
  2. Select Convert to Standard Page. A dialog displays to confirm the conversation to a Standard Page.
  3. Select Convert Page.
You can now add content to your Standard Page. To revert a Standard Page to a dashboard, select Settings > Design Dashboard. A dialog displays to confirm that you want to convert your Standard Page to a dashboard. Select Design Dashboard.
