Intro
Domo users with an Editor, Privileged, or Admin system role; or with a custom role with the Page Edit grant enabled, can duplicate a card using the Save As option. Duplicated cards can be edited independently from the original card. This differs from the copy functionality because copied cards are still linked to the original—if you edit a copied card, the changes are reflected on the original and on any other copies. When you duplicate a card, you are assigned as the owner of the new card. You can also duplicate multiple cards at once in the Admin Settings. You must have an Admin security role to use this feature. For more information about security roles, see Security Role Reference.Note: If a dashboard has been locked, you can only move or copy cards if you are the dashboard owner or have an Admin system role or a custom role with the Manage All Cards, Pages, and Apps (App Studio) grant enabled. Duplicate a Single Card
You can duplicate a card from a dashboard or the card’s Details view. Both processes are explained below.Duplicate a Card from a Dashboard
- Hover over the card you want to duplicate.

Select
Card options (wrench and arrow icon) > 
Save As to open the save as modal.

Make changes to elements like the card title and description.
- Use the location dropdown to choose on which dashboard to store the card or use the option to Create New Dashboard.
- (Optional) If you don’t want to be taken to the new duplicate card after saving, uncheck the box labeled Take me to the new card when I’m done.
- Select Save.
Duplicate a Card from the Details View
You can also duplicate a card from its Details view. This is especially useful after you have performed in-depth analysis on the card by filtering the data. You can save your updated view of the card as a new version that can then be favorited or shared with other users.-
From the card’s Details view, select
Share (box and arrow icon) > Save As to open the save as modal.

Duplicate Cards in Bulk
Admins can duplicate multiple cards with a single action.Note: Admins are those with an Admin system role or a custom role with the Manage All Cards, Pages and Apps (App Studio) grant enabled. Learn more about roles and grants.
- Under Content, select Cards. A list of all the cards in your Domo instance appears.
- Check the boxes for all cards you want to duplicate. You can use the column filters to filter the cards in the list.

Select Edit > Duplicate Cards to display the confirmation modal.

Use the dropdown to choose one or more dashboards on which to store the new duplicate cards.
- Select Duplicate Cards.
