Intro

LinkedIn is the business and employment face of social networking. LinkedIn is a professional networking platform where individuals and companies connect to build relationships, share information, and find opportunities in the business world. It’s designed to help users showcase their professional profiles, find jobs, and engage with others in their industry. With the LinkedIn Connector, you can measure the effectiveness of your LinkedIn ad campaigns and decide how to best optimize LinkedIn as an advertising platform. You can connect to your LinkedIn account in the Data Center. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the LinkedIn connector user interface. To add DataSets, set update schedules, and edit DataSet information, see Adding a DataSet Using a Connector.

Prerequisites

To connect to your LinkedIn account and create a DataSet, you need your LinkedIn credentials,
  • The email address you use to sign in to your LinkedIn account
  • Your LinkedIn password

Connecting to Your LinkedIn Account

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes on the LinkedIn Connector page. The components of the other panes on this page, Scheduling, and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in great detail in Adding a DataSet Using a Connector.

Credentials Pane

The Domo LinkedIn connector uses OAuth to connect, so there is no need to enter credentials within Domo. Click Connect to open the LinkedIn OAuth screen where you can enter your LinkedIn credentials. Once you have entered the valid LinkedIn credentials, you can use the same account any time you go to create a new LinkedIn DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Manage Connector/Adapter Accounts.

Details Pane

This pane contains a primary Reports menu, along with various other menus which may or may not appear depending on the report type you select.
