Intro

As an online advertising company, Marin focuses on measuring, managing, and optimizing more than $6 billion in annual ad spend across the web and mobile devices. Access ad performance and conversion reports for an optimized ad spending effort with the Marin Connector. You can connect to your Marin account in the Data Center. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the Marin connector user interface. To add DataSets, set update schedules, and edit DataSet information, see Adding a DataSet Using a Connector.

Prerequisites

To connect to your Marin account and create a DataSet, you need the username and password associated with your Marin Software account.

Connecting to Your Marin Account

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes on the Marin Connector page. The components of the other panes on this page, Scheduling, and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in great detail in Adding a DataSet Using a Connector.

Credentials Pane

This pane contains fields for entering credentials to connect to your Marin account. The following table describes what is needed for each field:

Description

Username Enter the username to login to Marin Software.
Password Enter the password to login to Marin Software.
Once you have entered valid Marin credentials, you can use the same account at any time to create a new Marin DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Manage Connector/Adapter Accounts.

Details Pane

Menu Description
Report Type

Select the Marin Report Type.

Two report types are available to be selected,

  • Completed Report
  • Report Template
Enter the Client ID Enter the Client ID of the account for which you want to download the reports.
Enter the Report ID Enter the ID of the report for which you want to get the data.
Enter the Template ID Enter the ID of the Report Template for which you want to get the data.
Sub Report Indicator If the requested report / report template contains sub-report, then select ‘Yes’. If the report contains sub-reports and if the value for drop down is selected as ‘No’, then the first found report will be returned.
Sub Reports in Report If the requested report contains any sub-report, they will be listed here. Select the sub report you want to run.
Sub Reports in Report Template If the requested report template contains any sub-report, they will be listed here. Select the sub report you want to run.
