Shredding the Slopes with Statistics: How Boyne Resorts Built Custom Models to Forecast Skier Visits

Boyne Resorts wanted to predict the number of daily visitors they could expect at each of their 10 ski resorts. Anticipating the number of skiers shredding the slopes would enable Boyne to strategically allocate staff resources at their resorts, ensuring an optimal and seamless experience for visitors. In this session, Boyne will share their process for building a custom forecasting model to predict skier visits and inform decisions. In this session you’ll learn how to: - Create an end-to-end DSML solution, from data ingestion to modeling to dashboards, all in Domo. - Use Jupyter Workspaces to build, automate, and deploy custom forecasting models. - Monitor model performance & data pipelines using automated dashboards and alerts. Speakers: - Chris Wolman | Lead Reporting Analyst, Boyne Resorts - Shelby McNeill | Data Scientist, Domo - Bryan Powell | Associate Data Scientist, Domo
