/ Domo + #DF16: Looking Back

Dreamforce 2016 was huge. There was so much information and innovation packed into four days, it was hard to capture it all. We had the chance to hear from amazing keynote speakers, learn from some of the brightest minds in the business during the breakout sessions, and gain valuable insights during the event.

Do you Domo?

If you were in attendance last week, you know that Dreamforce was bigger than ever this year, with 170,000 in attendance, a sea of booths in the Cloud Expo, and over 3,000 breakout sessions…and Domo was at the center of it all. From sessions to demos, parties to live streaming, Domo brought a whole new level to #DF16, and had everyone at the event asking the question, “Do you Domo?”

If you missed out on Dreamforce this year, or maybe you weren’t able to fit it all into your schedule (we get it; it’s a busy week), here’s a recap of everything Domo at Dreamforce 2016 to catch you up:

The sessions

Our Domo execs, experts, and customers brought business optimization to the stage all through the week in four amazing, packed sessions.

Session

Tuesday, Domo Senior Vice President, Peter Black, kicked things off with Joe Propati, COO at Aon, as they gave the audience insights into how technology can help sales leaders hone in on behaviors that increase sales and maximize efficiency.

Domo’s Senior Director of Product Advocacy, Dan Roden, took the stage Tuesday afternoon as well, giving the audience a look at how you can turn data into opportunities, help answer key business questions, and improve business results.

Dan

Wednesday brought a panel of IT experts, including Chris O’Meara, VP of Operations and Information Systems of Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, Matthew March, CIO of Colony American Finance, Jesse Mauser, VP of Data Analytics of Atlas General Insurance Services, and moderated by Tony Compton, VP and Research Director of Ventana Research, for a discussion about how to provide everyone in the company the data they need while balancing data access with security.

Thursday, Domo CMO, David Thompson, and Zuora CIO, Alvina Antar, wrapped up the sessions by sharing their insights on optimizing data to discover strategic opportunities that set you ahead of the competition.

The parties

If you know Domo, you know how much we love a good party.

Domo co-hosted the After-After party with DocuSign on Wednesday night, and boy was it a party! Guests mingled and networked late into the night on the 4th floor of the “W” with an amazing lounge, DJ, food and drinks…

We kept the party going even after Dreamforce was over with Michael Farrington’s 6th annual Cigar Bar Shindig. Michael started his popular party when he realized there weren’t any events the last day of the conference. It quickly turned into a hotspot for the cloud computing crowd, and it’s just gotten bigger and bigger every year. Michael, and many of the attendees, stated that this year, “Domo took it up about 10 notches and turned it into THE event to be at.”

And who could miss the Domo bus bringing the #DoYouDomo party to the Dreamforce campus?

The Domo booth

It wasn’t enough to just talk about how Domo can help you optimize your business, the packed Domo booth was running live demos all week long to show everyone at Dreamforce what Domo can do. We’re talking every company, every department, every use case.
