Create benchmarks and comparisons with segments.

Segments allow you to perform multiple queries within a card or dashboard to quickly measure one group of data against another—no advanced skills required. With segments, you can examine different subsections of your data while still having a constant reference point in your visualization. For example, you could compare one group of retail stores against another and dive into each store to compare results.

Segments can also be set to maintain independence from card and dashboard filters. In Analyzer, you can define which filters impact each segment and which do not. When implemented in this way, you can use filters to view other parts of your business while your segment stays constant. Segments are saved to the dataset and can be used with any multi-series, period-over-period, or multi-value chart.
