BI/Analytics: New Chart Types

BI and Analytics are where data investments start to take shape, revealing insights, and influencing business outcomes. Domo has designed this layer of the product to be intuitive, performant, highly customizable, and, critically, stack agnostic.

Domo offers hundreds of different chart types to give data shape and meaning, allowing users to visualize their data and draw insights to feed action. Domo is always investing and adding to this core tenet of BI and Analytics, and is happy to announce three new chart types:

Sankey Chart – the Sankey chart is a great option for visualizing flows that include complex paths and loops, including energy flow, financial processes, and more.

Slope Chart – this simplified line chart allows users to easily visualize and calculate changes in each value or set of values across a time period, helping to understand the magnitude of change.

Variance/Difference Chart – this chart compares two related series (such as budget vs. spend or sales forecast vs. actual sales) to understand the difference at various points in time.
