Domo Welcomes Global Digital Marketing Executives, Shane Atchison and Jason Burby, to Management Team

WPP Leaders to Take on Roles of Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Customer Success Officer Respectively

SILICON SLOPES, Utah – July 19, 2017 – Domo today announced that Shane Atchison, global CEO of POSSIBLE, will join as chief marketing officer, and Jason Burby, POSSIBLE’S president of the America’s region, will join as chief customer success officer. Atchison and Burby have worked together for more than two decades, most recently running WPP’s digital agency, POSSIBLE, where they helped organizations leverage data and digital strategies to improve their business.

“I’ve known Shane and Jason since the Omniture days and they were the most progressive and like-minded agency partners with whom we ever worked,” said Josh James, Domo founder and CEO. “Shane and Jason have always understood that when it comes to digital businesses, it’s not really about the data – it’s what you do with the data that is important. As we help organizations realize the new way to work, the expertise that Shane and Jason bring will add tremendous value to our business and to the business of our customers.”

Atchison brings more than 25 years in advertising and digital marketing leadership to Domo. As CEO of WPP’s POSSIBLE, he led the company’s long-term strategic vision working with the world’s best CMOs across numerous industries such as financial services, consumer packaged goods and high-tech to build and execute their plans. He ran and oversaw the acquisition and integration of more than seven firms into the POSSIBLE agency. He was also the global client lead for WPP’s Microsoft business, overseeing a relationship that spanned dozens of countries and multiple WPP agencies. With Burby, he also co-authored two books on digital strategy: Actionable Web Analytics: Using Data to Make Smart Business Decisions published by John Wiley & Sons and most recently, Does it Work? 10 Principles for Delivering True Business Value published by McGraw Hill.

“I’ve seen first-hand what real-time marketing data can do to improve business outcomes at the world’s most valuable brands,” said Atchison. “The new way to work is about leveraging that same power across an entire organization to help all areas of the business improve and to keep organizations competitive. I’m thrilled to help tell the story of how the Fortune 50 and companies of all sizes are using Domo to change the way they run their business, and I’m looking forward to being part of the team Josh has assembled to capitalize on this massive opportunity as we help organizations realize the success of being truly data-driven.”

Burby, as POSSIBLE’s president of the Americas region, was responsible for the long-term stability and growth of POSSIBLE’s business in that region. He is a long-time advocate of using data to inform digital strategies to help clients attract, convert and retain customers.

“For years, Shane and I have focused on using data to better understand our clients’ audiences and identify opportunities to increase desired behaviors in the digital space and beyond,” said Burby. “The beauty is that no matter the industry or geography or department, one thing holds true: data can be leveraged to improve the way business is run. We’ve found that the first question customers ask is where should they start. I’m going to help answer that. There is huge upside in each of the Domo relationships that as head of client success, I’ll help unlock.”
