Domo
Director of Strategic Partnerships & Customer Adoption

Lee James is Director of Strategic Partnerships and Adoption at Domo, helping organisations turn AI and data into measurable business outcomes. He leads partner innovation across EMEA, building AI Agent frameworks that combine Domo, Snowflake, and Databricks to deliver actionable intelligence in marketing, manufacturing, and financial risk. Previously part of the AWS leadership team, Lee supported global customers including Netflix, Adobe, Salesforce, Apple, and Expedia, and is author of In the Loop: Why Human Values Must Govern the Age of AI.

Lee James from Domo emphasized the importance of maintaining a constant feedback loop between humans and AI, advocating for a collaborative relationship where AI extends human capabilities rather than replaces them. He underscored the critical role of human judgment and values in guiding AI outcomes, ensuring ethical use and preventing bias through active oversight. Highlighting real-world examples like British Airways and Mobiles Eye Hospital, James illustrated how integrating human input enhances AI usability and accuracy. Central to his message was the concept of “human in the loop,” a partnership model where humans and AI share responsibility in decision-making. He also stressed the need for inclusivity, transparency, and accountability in AI development, urging organizations to pursue values-driven automation that empowers individuals and benefits society. Ultimately, James called for a symbiotic approach to AI, where human values remain at the core of technological progress.
