Beast Mode AI Assistant

Gone are the days of calculation complexity—we've got some exciting news for Beast Mode enthusiasts and new users alike! Domo has simplified the process of generating Beast Mode calculations thanks to a new AI assistant in Beast Mode Editor. Users can now prompt AI using natural language text to create custom calculated fields—transforming how you interact with data to save time and quickly write formulas no matter your skill level.

Beast Mode AI assistant runs on Domo’s Text-to-Beast Mode AI service. Domo recognizes that AI needs to be well governed per our customers internal guidelines. AI assistants send only Domo metadata about Domo data sources to OpenAI. As such, to use AI assistants in Domo, Admins must enable OpenAI models for use under Admin-AI Service Layer-Settings. Furthermore, non-admin users in Domo require a role with the “Use AI Services” grant to leverage AI assistants. In the coming months, Domo with introduce an internal LLM option for running AI assistants that can be leveraged without sending information to OpenAI.
