Intro

Verizon ThingSpace is an Internet of Things (IoT) cloud platform allowing simple and secure IoT device connectivity over Verizon’s network. Use the Domo Verizon ThingSpace IoT connector to retrieve data about IoT devices and recent device sensor values. You can connect to your Verizon ThingSpace IoT account in the Data Center. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the Verizon ThingSpace IoT connector user interface. To add DataSets, set update schedules, and edit DataSet information, see Adding a DataSet Using a Connector.

Prerequisites

To connect to your Verizon ThingSpace IoT account and create a DataSet, you need the following:
  • Verizon ThingSpace Account ID
  • Developer key
  • Verizon ThingSpace Username and Password
  • Client Secret.

Connecting to Your Verizon ThingSpace IoT Account

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes on the Verizon ThingSpace IoT Connector page. The components of the other panes on this page, Scheduling, and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in great detail in Adding a DataSet Using a Connector.

Credentials Pane

This pane contains fields for entering credentials to connect to your Verizon ThingSpace IoT account. The following table describes what is needed for each field:

Field

Description

Account ID Enter your Verizon ThingSpace Account ID. If you do not know your key, contact your Verizon account representative.
Key Enter the developer key.
Password Enter your Verizon ThingSpace password.
Secret Enter the client secret.
Username Enter your Verizon ThingSpace username.
Once you have entered valid Verizon ThingSpace IoT credentials, you can use the same account at any time to create a new Verizon ThingSpace IoT DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Manage Connector/Adapter Accounts.

Description

Report

Select the Verizon ThingSpace IoT report you want to run. The following reports are available:

Report Name Description

Query Devices

Returns the metadata about IoT devices.

Search Devices

Search for IoT device data based on a query. Leaving the query blank will return all sensors.

Search Device Fields

Returns the IoT device sensor events based on a query. Leaving the query blank will return all events.

Device Sensor History

Returns the readings of IoT device sensors.

Search Subscriptions

Returns the data about ThingSpace IoT subscriptions.
Date Range Enter the date range for which you would like to get the data.
