Intro

The Magazine Manager is a global leader in magazine publishing solutions, serving over 15,000 publications worldwide. The Magazine Manager connector enables you to pull data from your Magazine Manager system into Domo. You can connect to your Magazine Manager account in the Data Center. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the Magazine Manager connector user interface. To add DataSets, set update schedules, and edit DataSet information, see Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Prerequisites

To connect to your Magazine Manager account and create a DataSet, you must have the following:
  • Password
  • Username
  • Domain

Connecting to Your Magazine Manager Account

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes on the Magazine Manager Connector page. The components of the other panes on this page, Scheduling, and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in great detail in Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Credentials Pane

This pane contains fields for entering credentials to connect to your Magazine Manager account. The following table describes what is needed for each field:

Password

Enter the password associated with your Magazine Manager account.

Username

Enter the username associated with your Magazine Manager account.

Domain

Enter the subdomain for your Magazine Manager. For example, if you log into your account at https://domo.magazinemanager.com , you should enter “domo”.

Once you have entered valid Magazine Manager credentials, you can use the same account any time you go to create a new Magazine Manager DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Managing User Accounts for Connectors.

Details Pane

This pane contains a primary Reports menu, along with various other menus which may or may not appear depending on the report type you select.

Report

Select the Magazine Manager report you want to run. The following reports are available:

Report Name Description
Query Report Retrieves the Standard Item based on the stored procedure and query type.

Stored Procedure

Specifies the name of the stored procedure that encapsulates the DB view created for the flex report.

Query Type

Specifies the desired XML Key Element and must not contain any special characters or spaces.

Param List

Enter the param list in braces.

For example, For paramlist [Product, Issue, Year (Required), From Issue Date, To Issue Date, Bus Unit, GPP Account Mgr, Company, Partner Type, Net, Rate Card, Ad Size Actual, Proposed=0/Confirmed=1, From Install Date, To Install Date] please input value as {"", "", "2020", "01/01/2020", "01/01/2020", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "01/01/2020", "01/01/2020"}
