Intro

Sumo Logic is a cloud-based log management and analytics service that leverages machine-generated big data to deliver real-time IT insights. Use Domo’s Sumo Logic connector to pull your IT insight data into Domo. The Sumo Logic Advanced connector uses the latest version of the Sumo Logic API. To learn more about the Sumo Logic Advanced API, visit their page (https://api.au.sumologic.com/docs/#section/Getting-Started ). You can connect to your Sumo Logic Advanced account in the Data Center. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the Sumo Logic Advanced connector user interface. To add DataSets, set update schedules, and edit DataSet information, see Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Prerequisites

To connect to your Sumo Logic Advanced account and create a DataSet, you must have the following:
  • Environment
  • Access ID
  • Access Key

Connecting to Your Sumo Logic Advanced Account

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes on the Sumo Logic Advanced Connector page. The components of the other panes on this page, Scheduling, and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in great detail in Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Credentials Pane

This pane contains fields for entering credentials to connect to your Sumo Logic Advanced account. The following table describes what is needed for each field:

Field

Description

Environment

The easiest way to know which pod your account uses is to look at the Sumo Logic URL. If you see “us2” it means that you’re running on the US2 pod.

Access ID

Sumo Logic Access ID. The help link to find or generate an Access ID is https://help.sumologic.com/Manage/Security/Access-Keys

Access Key

Sumo Logic Access Key. The help link to find or generate Access keys is https://help.sumologic.com/Manage/Security/Access-Keys

Once you have entered valid Sumo Logic Advanced credentials, you can use the same account at any time to create a new Sumo Logic Advanced DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Managing User Accounts for Connectors.

Details Pane

This pane contains a primary Reports menu, along with various other menus which may or may not appear depending on the report type you select.
