Intro

The SimilarWeb Connector collects, measures, analyzes and provides user engagement statistics for websites and mobile applications. Use Domo’s SimilarWeb connector to compare the website traffic statistics and analytics. To learn more about the SimilarWeb API, visit their page (https://developer.similarweb.com/ ). You can connect to your SimilarWeb account in the Data Center. This article explains the fields and menus specific to the SimilarWeb connector user interface. Prerequisites

To connect to SimilarWeb account and create a DataSet, you must have the API Key associated with the SimilarWeb account. For information about finding your API key, visit SimilarWeb’s FAQ at, (https://developer.similarweb.com/ ).

Connect to Your SimilarWeb Account

This section explains the options in the Credentials and Details panes in the SimilarWeb Connector page. The components of the other panes in this page, Scheduling and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in great detail in Adding a DataSet Using a Data Connector.

Credentials Pane

The Domo’s SimilarWeb API uses apikey for authentication which can be found in the API dashboard. This pane contains the fields for entering credentials to connect to your SimilarWeb account. The following table describes what is needed for each field:

API Key

Enter your SimilarWeb accounts API key. For information about finding your API key, visit SimilarWeb’s FAQ at https://developer.similarweb.com/faq .
Once you enter the valid credentials, you can use the same account to create a new SimilarWeb DataSet. You can manage connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information, see Managing User Accounts for Connectors.

Details Pane

This pane contains a primary Reports menu, along with various other menus which may or may not appear depending on the report type you select.

Keyword Competitors (Organic)

Returns a list of websites that are competing for the same organic keywords as the given domain and competition score.

7 Mobile App Details Returns the Title, Image, Publisher, Price, Main Category, Main Category ID, and Rating for a requested application.
8 Mobile App Downloads Returns the number of users downloading the app from the Play Store for the given time frame.
9 Mobile App Rank Returns the App Store/Play Store Rank for a given App.
10 Mobile App Retention Returns % of returning users over past 30 days as well as loyal vs early churn % and median lifetime.
11 Mobile Audience Interests Returns Apps also used by the Audience of the requested application.
12 Mobile App Current Installs Returns Installs minus Uninstalls for the App as a % of all Android device users in the country.
13 Mobile Daily Active Users Returns Daily Active Users as a % of all Android device users in the country.
14 Mobile Google Top Apps Usage Rank Returns a list of top Android apps sorted by SimilarWebs app usage ranking.
15 Mobile Related Sites Returns a list of all sites related to the given Mobile App.
16 Mobile Sessions/User Returns Average Sessions per User of the requested application.
17 Mobile Site Related Apps Returns a list of all mobile applications (Google Play Store) related to the given domain.
18 Mobile Top Apps Store Rank Returns a list of top Android/iOS apps sorted by its Store ranking.
19 Mobile Usage Time/Session Returns Average Usage Time per Session of the requested application.
20 Mobile Web Average Visit Duration Returns the average visit duration on the given mobile web domain.
21 Mobile Web Bounce Rate Returns the Bounce Rate for the given mobile web domain.
22 Mobile Web Pages/Visit Returns the average page views for the given mobile web domain.
23 Mobile Web Referrals Returns the mobile referring websites for the given domain, and traffic share per referrer.

25 Mobile Web Unique Visitors Returns monthly unique mobile web visitors.

45 Traffic Sources Desktop Returns a detailed overview of traffic sources broken down by source type and traffic share.

49 Traffic Sources Organic Outgoing Links Returns traffic share of all organic outgoing links for the domain.

60 Website Similar Sites Returns the top 40 most similar websites to the given domain & their similarity score.
61 Website Top Sites Returns top 100 sites in a given category.
URL or Domain Name Of Website Enter the domain name you want to use.
Country Select the country.
Date Range Select the date range.
Main Domain True returns data only for the main domain. False returns data for subdomains as well.
Months Back Enter the number of months back to retrieve the data.
Skip Months Without Data (checkbox) Select if you want to skip the months that do not have data.
Start Month Date Select a start date for the month.
End Month Date Select an end date for the month. The previous month’s data is unavailable until the 11th of the current month.
Keyword Enter the Keyword you want to use.
App ID Enter the app id name you would like to use.
Store Select the Mobile Store.
Time Granularity Select the granularity.
Device Select the Device type.
Mode Select the mode type.
Duration The number of days back from the present date you want to fetch rank data (Last 18 months).
Category Select the category you want to fetch the data. When you Select ‘All’, the data will be fetched for all categories.
