Intro

Reddit is an entertainment, social networking service and news website where registered community members can submit content, such as text posts or direct links. Use Domo’s Reddit Ads connector to get data your ads performance. This topic discusses the fields and menus that are specific to the Reddit Ads Connector user interface. General information for adding DataSets, setting update schedules, and editing DataSet information is discussed in Adding a DataSet Using a Connector.

Prerequisites

To connect to your Reddit Ads account and create a DataSet, you must have the following:
  • Your Reddit Ads account name and credentials.

Connecting to Your Reddit Ads Account

This section enumerates the options in the Credentials and Details panes in the Reddit Ads Connector page. The components of the other panes in this page, Scheduling and Name & Describe Your DataSet, are universal across most connector types and are discussed in greater length in Adding a DataSet Using a Connector.

Credentials Pane

To access this connector, you need to login using your Reddit Ads username and password. Once you have entered valid Reddit Ads credentials, you can use the same account any time you go to create a new Reddit Ads DataSet. You can manage Connector accounts in the Accounts tab in the Data Center. For more information about this tab, see Manage Connector/Adapter Accounts.

This pane contains a primary Reports menu, along with various other menus which may or may not appear depending on the report type you select.

Ads

Retrieves the data about your ads.
Ad Groups Retrieves the information about Ad Groups.
Campaigns Retrieves data about your campaigns.

Reporting

Fetches the engagement and conversion data for your ads, ad groups, and/or campaigns.

Account Selection

Select the account type for which you want to retrieve the data.

Account IDs

Enter the account ID for each account for which you want to retrieve the data. Separate multiple account IDs with a comma. The account ID can be found in the Ad Accounts section after visiting https://ads.reddit.com/accounts .
Note that Account Id should start with ‘t2_’ or ‘a2_’.

Business

Select the business names associated with your Ad Accounts.

Group By

Select the dimensions for which you want to group by. You can only select two dimensions at a time.

Metrics

Select the metrics that you want to return in your data. You can select a maximum of two metrics at a given time.

Report Dates - Date Selection

Specify whether the data in this report is for a single date or a range of dates.

Date Type

Select the date types as either Relative or Specific .

Days Back

Choose the day for which you want to receive the data by entering a number relative to today. For example, enter 0 for today, 1 for yesterday, or 7 for 7 days ago.

Date Range - Start Date - Days Back

Choose the day for which you want to start receiving the data, by entering a number relative to today. For example, enter 1 for a start date of yesterday, 7 for a start date of 1 week ago, and 30 for a start date of 1 month ago.

Date Range - End Date - Days Back

Choose the day for which you want to stop receiving the data by entering a number relative to today. For example, enter 0 for an end date of today, or 1 for an end date of yesterday.

Time Period

Choose the time period for which you want to receive the data.

Starting Day Of The Week

Select the starting day as either Sunday or Monday.

How do I power up the connector

You need to have a Reddit account to access this connector.
You can use this connector to get the data your ads performance.
Advertisers may perform 1 request per second.
All campaign management data is consistent. All reporting data is accurate up to three hours ago. That means fetching all impressions for today at 6 PM will pull all data up to 3 PM.
