Domo Announces Mark Dillon As VP, Channels

SILICON SLOPES, Utah – September 18, 2012 – Today Domo, a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) venture started by Omniture co-founder and former CEO Josh James to redefine the business intelligence (BI) market, announced that Mark Dillon has joined the company as vice president, channels.

Dillon brings more than 20 years in software sales to Domo, with more than a dozen years in software-as-a-service (SaaS). Most recently, Dillon served as vice president of worldwide channel sales at Adobe Systems, following six years with Omniture. There he built the company’s global partner sales organization, working with top agencies, system integrators and technology partners.

Under Dillon’s leadership, Omniture’s channels program was awarded a 2008 Five Gold-Star Ranking by VARBusiness. In 2009, Dillon was named a VARBusiness Channel Chief for his leadership in delivering the first partner certification and training program in the web analytics space. Before running channels, Dillon was responsible for attracting numerous high-profile customers to Omniture including Sears, Kelley Blue Book and Saks Fifth Avenue, to name a few.

“Dillon understands how to build partnerships and relationships that will accelerate business for Domo, our partners and most importantly, customers,” said James. “Working together for more than six years, I’m thrilled he’s on board at Domo to help architect and execute our channel programs.”

“For years, customers have been struggling to get value from the avalanche of data that’s being created about their business,” said Dillon. “Being able to make use of that data and have reporting capabilities across departments has been considered by executives everywhere to be the Holy Grail. This is the opportune time for Domo. Domo is addressing a huge pain point in the marketplace and I’m looking forward to using my channels experience to strategically accelerate Domo’s growth.”
