Former SAP VP of Marketing Heather Deason Zynczak is Named New Chief Marketing Officer at Domo
Domo, a new software-as-a-service (SaaS) venture started by Omniture co-founder and former CEO Josh James to redefine the business intelligence (BI) market, today announced the appointment of Heather Deason Zynczak as chief marketing officer (CMO). She joins Domo on March 30, 2012.
With close to 20 years of industry experience, Zynczak has held executive marketing and product management positions at some of the world’s largest enterprise technology companies. She spent the last six years at SAP, where she most recently served as global vice president of marketing. In that role, she was responsible for marketing SAP’s business suite of products representing more than $3 billion in annual revenue. Prior to SAP, she spent five years at Oracle as senior director of product strategy, setting the strategic direction for more than 30 high-revenue products. Heather also led product marketing at two Silicon Valley startups and served for a number of years as a business consultant for top firms including Accenture, The Boston Consulting Group and Booz Allen Hamilton.
“At Omniture, I had exposure to hundreds of CMOs so I knew what kind of person I wanted to partner with me on all aspects of marketing at Domo,” said James, founder and CEO. ”Heather has been successful driving impressive growth everywhere she has served – from software giants to scrappy startups. That perspective and skill set will be a huge asset for Domo as we move from the startup phase to proven market disruptor. We’re looking forward to her joining us as we reform an old industry that doesn’t work and create an entirely new way for CEOs and other executives to manage their business.”
“Domo is at the forefront of a huge opportunity to change the way business is managed,” said Zynczak. “I’m excited to join the team to help accelerate Domo’s growth in a market that has been primed to explode.”
