STELLA
sings Kitaro
POP

AVAILABLE ON iTUNES
MARCH 6, 2008

Stella is a Brazilian singer who sings in 5 languages and studied music and ballet from an early age. She now resides in Los Angeles, California, and has visited Japan extensively as well.

Originally discovered by the World famous artist Kitaro, she was invited to sing on his CD, “Sacred Journey of Kukai – part I”, where she was featured on the song “The Wind”.

For the first time, Domo Music Group, the label for Kitaro, will release some of his most famous songs, now with lyrics, and sung by Stella. Stella has written her own original lyrics for these Kitaro songs with the wonderful help fo Mauro Malavassi (Producer of Andrea Bocelli) and Steven Sater (Winner of 8 Tony Awards in 2007, for “Spring Awakening”).

The song “Stelle (Estrella)” tells about one star that was shining more than the others in a starlit night sky in Sao Paulo, where Stella spent her entire childhood. “Have You Seen (Fata Morgana)” tells about a mirage, a miracle of nature that wakes you up in a world of fantasy. The official release date for these singles is March 6th.

Stella met legendary New Age artist Kitaro at his famous Mount Fuji concert, and was invited to sing on his CD, “Sacred Journey of Ku-Kai - Part I” The recordings were done at his studio in Colorado, and a song entitled “The Wind” which features Stella, played on commercials & radio throughout Japan. The CD was nominated for a Grammy Award.

She spent all her childhood in the big city of Sao Paulo, Brazil where some children have no food to eat, and where violence can be a part of everyday life.  She always prayed for the day that people could unify their hearts and find internal peace.  She believed that music has this power, to bring smiles to their faces, to bring peace to their hearts.

Stella feels that children are pure, children are pure peace, so she has made sure to add a children’s chorus to the song “Stelle”.  This extended version with children’s voices will be released later this year.

Being visually gifted as well, Stella and producer Gary Barlough have designed a Virtual World Environment which works in harmony with her musical concepts. It is located in Second Life, on “Stella” Island. The production of 2 videos filmed in Second Life has begun, and a series of “virtual concerts” which you can watch “live” via Second Life will begin in February, 2008.

In addition Stella has had several Radio Shows in Tokyo, Japan, on which she introduced the culture of Brazil to the Japanese audience. Her Portuguese influenced Japanese speaking was well received by her audience.

Stella’s World is just starting, an International concept that has no borders!
