Domo's New Approach to Business Intelligence Makes Big Splash at Gartner BI Summit

Domo’s User-Centric Design is Driving Tremendous Response Across Multiple Industries and Roles

LINDON, Utah – April 18, 2012 – This month at the Gartner BI Summit, Domo experienced an overwhelming response to its new approach to business intelligence (BI). Despite imposing a strict NDA for its product demo, Domo reported overflowing booth traffic, an inordinately high number of qualified leads, and tremendous enthusiasm for its user-centric design.

“The feedback from Gartner attendees echoes what we’ve been hearing from the hundreds of companies signed up for our early adopter program,” said Josh James, founder and CEO, Domo. “Regardless of their industry or role, customers share a universal pain point and frustration in not having all the business information they care about directly accessible to them and all in one place.”

Domo leverages technology components that have never been available in a BI solution to make this the first such product truly designed with the end user in mind. These components are being kept under wraps until the product is publicly launched.

A senior executive from an online home improvement retailer who had a demo under NDA said, “We aren't sure where we set the bar for what we expected, but you exceeded it.”

An early adopter in the financial services industry commented, “The number one reason we chose Domo was innovation. Domo has introduced us to things that no other vendor has ever shown us.”

“While we enable businesses to do things with business information that haven’t been possible until now, customers are also sharing their delight at the user experience,” said James.

After seeing Domo's demo at the Gartner conference under NDA, a wireless industry executive commented, “I've looked at a lot of solutions and, for the past couple of years, this is how I envisioned BI should look. I just haven't seen it until now.”

An early adopter customer, a significant player in the automotive supply chain industry, commented, “One of the main reasons we chose Domo was just flat out how it looked. We thought it looked better. We thought it offered more than the other solutions. The competitive products we looked at were ok, but they seemed to be a little complicated.”

James added, “When we started selling through our early adopter program, we expected to hit a nerve with customers, but the initial response has blown past all of our expectations. Our early adopter program has been tremendously successful, and we are now scheduling more and more installs and are excited about the impact we are having.”
