Most CEOs Don’t Bother With Social Media

If you want to connect with a CEO at a Fortune 500 company, don't try to find them on Twitter, Facebook of even LinkedIn.
According to a new study, 70 percent of them have absolutely no presence on social media, the Silicon Valley / San Jose Business Journal reports.
The research was done by a pair of businesses founded by former Omniture CEO Josh James, CEO.com and Domo, both aimed at helping executives manage better.
And James says CEOs who aren't on social media are missing the boat.
"This lack of engagement would be similar to 50 percent of the world using email with big CEOs holding out; or 50 percent of your customers shopping online but no CEOs trying it," he wrote in a blog post on Forbes Wednesday night.
